Electromyography (EMG) measures the muscle activity by means of electrodes and their effectiveness is shown. At the LANS Medicum, we distinguish between the use of EMG in fitness training and in the rehabilitation phase.
In detail, we analyse and graphically show the maximum tension in the muscles of the movement apparatus in the rehabilitation phase after injuries. In the context of fitness training, it shows the muscular activity in a right / left comparison graphically, making it visible to the patient. The patient can be examined by visual analyses in the injured areas (usually connective tissue structures such as muscles, tendons and ligaments), he can increase the tension intramuscularly and, with targeted training, bring them back to the performance level of the non injured side. This contributes to a significant improvement in muscle activity and can reduce rehabilitation time.
